The Seedstars Bangkok Finalists were revealed at the exciting Seedstars Bangkok event. Verifik8 won first place, securing its position as Thailand’s representative in the international Seedstars World competition, which will take place in Switzerland. Verifik8 offers a platform that improves transparency in the seafood supply chain. Its solution earned the team an all-expense-paid trip to Switzerland, where they will compete with winners from over 65 countries.
Glazziq, an innovative eye-wear e-commerce platform, took second place. Indie Dish, a healthy food delivery app, followed closely in third. These three startups stood out among the nine finalists, each bringing unique solutions to technology and sustainability challenges.
To be considered Seedstars Bangkok Finalists, startups must meet strict requirements. They must be less than two years old, have raised under US$500,000 in funding, and possess a minimum viable product. Additionally, these startups need to demonstrate scalability and innovation within their markets. The event serves as a bridge, connecting investors with the next generation of tech startups. Hosted by Digital Ventures, a subsidiary of Siam Commercial Bank, the event continues to show growing interest in Thailand’s startup ecosystem.
Judges at the event, including Monthida McCoole (Investor Relations at muruD) and Muai Porlanee Jeamsaksiri (Principal, Corporate Venture Capital at Digital Ventures), carefully evaluated each finalist. Furthermore, their expertise played a key role in identifying startups with the highest potential for growth and innovation. Polapat “Paul Ark” Arkkrapridi, Managing Director of Corporate Venture Capital at Digital Ventures, commented. “The quality of startups emerging from this environment now rivals that of our regional and global peers.”
